Laalo-Krishna Sada Sahaayate’ beats Chhaava to score the biggest 6th week of the year

Gujarati film ‘Laalo -Krishna Sada Sahaayate’ beats Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ to score the biggest 6th week of the year

Gujarati film Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate has achieved an unprecedented box office feat, outperforming Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava with a staggering Rs 24.40 crore in its sixth week. This modest-budget regional success, driven by exceptional word-of-mouth and cultural resonance, demonstrates remarkable staying power, drawing family audiences and repeat viewers, marking a historic moment for Gujarati cinema.

In a remarkable box office triumph, the Gujarati blockbuster Laalo- Krishna Sada Sahaayate has officially surpassed Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama Chhaava to deliver the highest 6th-week collection of 2025. What makes this achievement even more impressive is that Laalo, a regional film with modest budget of Rs 50 lakh and limited screens compared to mainstream Hindi releases, has shown extraordinary staying power across Gujarat and select national markets.Laalo collected a massive Rs 24.40 crore in its sixth week, driven by phenomenal weekend jumps and strong weekday hold. The film earned Rs 2.75 crore on Friday, followed by an explosive Rs 4.50 crore on Saturday and an even better Rs 6.50 crore on Sunday, showing that audience demand continues to surge even after 35 days in theatres. The weekdays remained extremely stable, with Rs 2.50 crore on Monday, Rs 3 crore on Tuesday, Rs 2.65 crore on Wednesday, and an estimated Rs 2.50 crore on Thursday—a trend usually seen only in major pan-India hits.

By contrast, Chhaava, despite starring a nationally recognised actor like Vicky Kaushal and releasing in both Hindi and Telugu, recorded a significantly lower Rs 16.30 crore during its sixth week. Its Friday–Sunday trend was respectable, with Rs 2.10 crore, Rs 3.65 crore, and Rs 4.65 crore respectively , but the film slowed down considerably during the weekdays, dropping to Rs 1.60 crore, Rs 1.50 crore, Rs 1.40 crore, and another Rs 1.40 crore on Thursday. While Chhaava’s numbers were strong relative to typical sixth-week business for Hindi films, Laalo’s performance is nothing short of extraordinary. A Gujarati film crossing Rs 24 crore in Week 6 is unprecedented, marking a historic moment for Gujarati cinema. The film’s deep cultural appeal, rooted storytelling, and positive word of mouth have turned it into a phenomenon, drawing family audiences and repeat viewers even in its sixth weekend.Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate began with modest collections of just Rs 33 lakh in Week 1 and Rs 27 lakh in Week 2, but it was the strong word-of-mouth that got triggered in week 3 which led to film collecting Rs 62 lakh which turned into the teaser for Week 4 as it collected Rs o Rs 12.08 crore, and Week 5 skyrocketed to Rs 25.7 crore, turning the film into a blockbuster phenomenon and Week 6 saw a small dip but still collected Rs 24.40 crore. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 6340 crore.Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate with its 6th week collection has also beaten recent releases like Dulquer Salmaan’s Kaantha which collected Rs 20.65 crore in its first week, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma which earned Rs 1.35 crore and Harshvardhan Rane’s Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat which collected Rs 1.44 crore. The film is directed by Ankit Sakhiya and stars Karan Joshi, Reeva Rachh, Shruhad Goswami, Anshu Joshi, and Kinnal Nayak, Go to Source
