Laalo-Krishna Sada Sahaayate beats ‘Chhaava to record highest 7th Weekend of 2025

Gujarati film ‘Laalo-Krishna Sada Sahaayate’ beats Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ to record highest 7th Weekend of 2025

Gujarati film Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate has shattered box office records, achieving the highest 7th-weekend collection of 2025. Outperforming Bollywood’s Chhaava significantly, Laalo earned Rs 9.95 crore in its seventh weekend alone. This modest-budget regional film’s extraordinary endurance and audience love have redefined success in Indian cinema.

In an unprecedented streak of dominance, the Gujarati blockbuster Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate has now achieved yet another historic milestone by delivering the highest 7th-weekend collection of 2025, outperforming a major Bollywood title like Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava by a massive margin. The film, which has already stunned the trade with its record-shattering sixth-week earnings, continues to demonstrate extraordinary endurance and audience love well into its seventh week—an achievement rarely seen in modern Indian cinema, let alone in a regional release made on a modest Rs 50 lakh budget. The seventh weekend once again belonged entirely to Laalo, which collected an excellent Rs 1.90 crore on Friday, a strong Rs 3.40 crore on Saturday, and an impressive Rs 4.65 crore on Sunday (early estimates). The growth of nearly 79% from Friday to Saturday and a further jump on Sunday signals that the demand for the film remains exceptionally high even after 45 days in theatres. With a 7th-weekend total of Rs 9.95 crore, Laalo has set a new all-time record for Gujarati cinema and outperformed several new national releases still in their opening weeks. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 73.35 crore. In comparison, Chhaava, despite its considerable scale, national appeal, and star power, struggled to maintain its momentum in Week 7. The film collected Rs 1.15 crore on Friday, Rs 2 crore on Saturday, but dropped sharply to Rs 1.15 crore on Sunday, ending its 7th weekend at Rs 4.30 crore, less than half of Laalo’s numbers. While Chhaava’s performance is respectable for a Hindi historical drama in its seventh week, Laalo’s collections are operating on a completely different level. What makes Laalo’s run all the more remarkable is the consistency it has displayed since its turnaround in Week 3. From collecting Rs 33 lakh in Week 1 and Rs 27 lakh in Week 2, the film experienced a word-of-mouth explosion in Week 3 with Rs 62 lakh, which served as a precursor to its extraordinary surge. Week 4 jumped to Rs 12.08 crore, Week 5 soared to Rs 25.70 crore, and Week 6 held rock-solid at Rs 24.40 crore, establishing Laalo as a once-in-a-generation blockbuster. Its total collection now stands at a staggering figure, turning the film into a cultural phenomenon.Directed by Ankit Sakhiya and featuring Karan Joshi, Reeva Rachh, Shruhad Goswami, Anshu Joshi, and Kinnal Nayak, Laalo-Krishna Sada Sahaayate has redefined the box office potential of Gujarati cinema. With its record 7th-weekend numbers surpassing Chhaava and several recent releases like Dulquer Salmaan’s Kaantha, Farhan Akhtar’s 120 Bahadur, Vivek Oberoi and Ritiesh Deshmukh’s Mastiii 4, Ajay Devgn’s De De Pyaar De 2, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma, and Harshvardhan Rane’s Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, Laalo has firmly cemented its place as one of the biggest surprise hits in recent Indian film history.
