L366: Tharun Moorthy introduces the crew of his next with Mohanlal; says he has a ‘smart plan’

Director Tharun Moorthy, fresh off the success of ‘Thudarum’, has officially commenced his next project, tentatively titled ‘L366’, with legendary actor Mohanlal. The film, which began with a switch-on ceremony at Vaikom Mahadeva temple, boasts a stellar crew including cinematographer Shaji Kumar, composer Jakes Bejoy, and editor Vivek Harshan. After the phenomenal success of ‘Thudarum’, Tharun Moorthy is reuniting with legendary actor Mohanlal. The makers of the film, tentatively titled ‘L366’, have officially commenced the project with a switch-on ceremony on January 16, at Vaikom Mahadeva temple. Now Tharun Moorthy has introduced the crew of the film.

Tharun Moorthy has a ‘strong squad’

On Wednesday, January 21, Tharun Moorthy has announced the ‘strong squad’ behind his upcoming project. He dropped a photo with the crew of ‘L 366’ and looks like the film has some of the finest artists from Indian cinema! The film is scripted by Ratheesh Ravi, known for his previous works ‘Pullikaran Stara’ featuring Mammootty, and films like ‘Ishq,’ ‘Adi,’ and ‘Alappuzha Jimkhana.’ The director will be reuniting with his ‘Thudarum’ cinematographer Shaji Kumar. Tharun Moorthy is also reuniting with musician Jakes Bejoy after ‘Thudarum’. Jakes Bejoy was also the composer for the blockbuster ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’. National award-winning editor Vivek Harshan, best known for his work in ‘Jigarthanda’, ‘Manjummel Boys’, and ‘Aavesham’ is part of the crew. National award-winning sound designer Vishnu Govind, best known for his work in ‘Malik’, ‘Unda’, and ‘Ishq’, is another addition to the crew. ‘L 366’ to go on floors on January 23

Earlier, Tharun Moorthy had confirmed that ‘L 366’ will start rolling on January 23. Following the switch-on ceremony, the director dropped a cryptic note on Instagram and said, “Every film of mine begins at Vaikom Mahadeva Temple. My art, my writing — everything was born here. There is no greater bliss than starting again from this sacred place. Officially from January 23. Switch on. Let’s roll. #L.” Mohanlal is expected to join the team on Friday, January 23. Earlier this week, Tharun Moorthy hinted that the final script of the film is ready. “Yes, it’s officially #L366. Write. Rewrite. Write. Rewrite. Finally locked… to rewrite once again,” he said in an Instagram post. Some unconfirmed reports suggest that Meera Jasmine will be seen as the leading lady opposite Mohanlal in the upcoming film.
