'King': Shah Rukh Khan completes shooting for elaborate Vijayadashami sequence; Suhana Khan performs stunts

Shah Rukh Khan and daughter Suhana Khan have concluded an eight-night shoot for their upcoming film ‘King’ at Mira-Bhayandar’s Ellora Studios. They filmed a vibrant Vijayadashami sequence, complete with a grand procession and hundreds of background performers. According to the Mid-Day report, Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan wrapped up the eight-day shoot at Ellora Studios in Mira-Bhayandar. As per the report, the duo shot a sequence against the backdrop of Vijayadashmi celebrations. Reportedly, the makers erected a massive, elaborate set for the sequence at the studio.The insider told the publication, “The team recreated the scale and energy of a Vijayadashami procession with drums, colors, and the frenzy that is seen on the immersion day.”The person further added, “Shah Rukh and Suhana shot with a huge crowd, consisting of hundreds of background performers, across eight nights. Suhana also performed several stunts.”

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is set to mark the big-screen debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan. Apart from the father-daughter duo, the movie also features Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Saurabh Shukla, Raghav Juyal, and Abhay Verma. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on Christmas this year. The duo Sachin-Jigar and Anirudh Ravichander are set to compose the music for the film.Initially, it was being reported that Sujoy Ghosh was set to helm the project. However, he was replaced by Siddhart Anand for unknown reasons. SRK and Anand have previously collaborated on ‘Pathaan’.Meanwhile, if reports are to be believed, the film is inspired by the French movie ‘Leon: The Professional’, which was released in the year 1994.
