Kiara slams reports of asking ‘Toxic’ makers to tone down her BOLD scenes

Kiara Advani slams reports of requesting 'Toxic' makers to tone down her intimate scenes with Yash in the film: 'Absolute nonsense'

‘KGF’ star Yash’s upcoming gangster drama ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ may have faced multiple delays, but it continues to generate buzz. The latest chatter around the film directed by Geetu Mohandas was that Kiara Advani had requested changes to a romantic scene with Yash.According to a report by Gulte, there was industry buzz suggesting that Kiara had asked the makers to tone down or shorten certain bold and intimate portions after seeing the final output. The report alleged that she had filmed a “bold romantic sequence” with Yash after being assured it would remain within her comfort zone, but later reconsidered after watching it.

Kiara Advani uneasy with ‘Toxic’? Actress reportedly seeks cuts in intimate scenes amid backlash

The speculation went viral, with mixed reactions from fans. However, Kiara directly addressed the rumours after spotting an Instagram post by Koimoi that read, “Kiara Advani requests makers to tone down bold scenes with Yash in Toxic.” Reposting it on her Instagram Stories, she dismissed the claims, writing, “Absolute nonsense!”The film, a Kannada-English project, is directed by Geetu Mohandas and backed by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, led by producer Venkat K Narayana and Yash. The actor plays a dual role, Raaya and Ticket, while Kiara essays the character of Nadia. The ensemble cast also includes Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth.

Election Results 2026

Announced in December 2023, the film went on floors in August 2024 and wrapped up by October 2025. Initially slated for release on April 10, 2025, it was later pushed to 2026. A subsequent release date of March 19, 2026, was also postponed due to the West Asian conflict, which helped avoid a box office clash with Dhurandhar 2. The film will not be arriving on June 4, 2026, either.Earlier, the film’s promotional material had sparked criticism for its sensual tone. Speaking about the project at ComicCon, Yash praised Geetu Mohandas while interacting with American content creator Sabeen Faheem. He said, “Thoughts are very clear, and she has a strong conviction in whatever she does. And she’s a fabulous writer. I could learn so much, you know. The desire quotient or certain emotions, romance or sensuality, how a female can show, a woman can present is entirely different is what I’ve realised in this journey.” Go to Source
