But went on to achieve box-office success with positive word-of-mouth. Suresh Rajakumari’s first venture as a director received a lukewarm response compared to multi-million dollar productions failing terribly to kickstart a film’s trajectory to success. ‘Sirai’ was a classic example of how just a good story and fine performances could rescue a movie’s fate.

As per her, the actor has evidently realized the enormity of the task and has given quite a restrained and bold performance.
