The film witnessed a healthy jump from its Day 9 collection of Rs 12.45 crore net. The movie’s total India net collection has reached Rs 148.55 crore.

‘Karuppu’s worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 236.78 crore.Out of this, the India gross collection accounts for Rs 172.03 crore while overseas territories have contributed Rs 64.75 crore.
Strong recovery for ‘Karuppu’ after weekday drop
‘Karuppu’ experienced a decline during the weekdays after its opening weekend. The film collected Rs 12.75 crore net on Day 5, followed by Rs 10.70 crore on Day 6 and Rs 8.10 crore on Day 7.However, the second weekend brought renewed momentum. Day 9 delivered Rs 12.45 crore net, while Day 10 improved further to Rs 14.45 crore net.The first week closed with a strong total of Rs 113.85 crore. The second weekend surge has helped the film comfortably cross the Rs 148 crore mark in India net collections. The movie was screened across thousands of shows throughout its run. On Day 10 alone, it was shown in 5,091 shows with an overall occupancy of 47.7 percent.

Suriya recently attended a special meet-and-greet event with fans and members of the media in Chennai. During the interaction, the actor opened up on the making of ‘Karuppu’ and revealed some of the challenges faced by the team.The actor disclosed that the production encountered financial difficulties during the filmmaking process.Speaking about the climax song, the actor said, “We shot that climax song five months after locking the edit.
