Suriya’s ‘Karuppu’ continues to enjoy a solid run in theatres. The fantasy action entertainer is maintaining momentum even in its third week. According to Sacnilk, ‘Karuppu’ collected Rs 5.90 crore net on Day 17. The latest figure reflects a 14.6 percent rise compared to Day 16 earnings of Rs 5.15 crore.

‘Karuppu’s India total moves higher

The latest collections have further improved the film’s domestic performance. Karuppu has now reached Rs 182.45 crore in total India net collections. Its India gross earnings have climbed to Rs 210.99 crore. Tamil Nadu remains the biggest market for ‘Karuppu’

Tamil Nadu once again led the film’s collections. The state added Rs 5.35 crore on Day 17 and remained the biggest contributor. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana generated Rs 80 lakhs. Karnataka brought in Rs 40 lakhs. Kerala contributed Rs 18 lakhs while other regions added Rs 5 lakhs.The Tamil version continued to dominate collections. It contributed Rs 5.20 crore with 39 percent occupancy across 2,353 shows.The Telugu version added Rs 70 lakhs from 974 shows and recorded 19 percent occupancy. The Tamil version registered an overall occupancy of 43.53 percent. Evening shows performed best with 56.62 percent occupancy.

‘Karuppu’ OTT release details

Reports from Filmibeat suggest Netflix has acquired the digital rights for the film. There is still no official confirmation regarding the streaming date.
