Despite a slowdown in its fourth week, with Friday collections at Rs 2.23 crore, the film’s cultural and mythological narrative has captivated audiences. Released on October 2, 2025, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has been making and breaking box office records left, right, and center. The Rishab Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth starrer has been keeping the box office registers ringing ever since its release, giving all the competition a good run for their money. However, as the film has entered its fourth week, the business has finally started slowing down. ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ box office collection day 23

On day 22, Thursday, it was the second time the movie made business in single digits. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ earned Rs 6.6 crore in India. And the collection further stooped down to around Rs 2.23 crore net in India on its day 23 across all languages. This takes the total box office collection in India to Rs 566.33 crore net.

‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ box office journey throughout the weeks

‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ made a great start with over Rs 60 crore in collections. The film continued to make a mark with impressive numbers throughout the first week, taking the collection of the debut week to Rs. 337.4 crore. Week two had its high and low points, and it added Rs. 147.85 crore to the total. The third week started slowly with only Rs. 8.5 crore (the first single-digit collection), the numbers gradually saw a rise, and then on the fourth Thursday, there was another dip. The third week’s total stood at Rs. 78.85 crores across all languages.

‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ OTT release

Initially expected to be released on Amazon Prime Video around October 30, the OTT release date of ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ is now uncertain, as the movie continues to have a grip at the box office. An official OTT release date for the movie is awaited.
