Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ released in theatres on October 2 and it has continued to remain unstoppable at the box office since then. The film is now on its way to reach the Rs 500 crore mark in India. Meanwhile at the worldwide box office, it has already crossed Rs 650 crore. The movie starring Rishab Shetty is also directed by him. It also sees Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah alongside the actor. After collecting ₹337 crore in its first week, it earned ₹22.25 crore on its second Friday. It showed healthy growth over the weekend, with ₹39 crore on Saturday and ₹40 crore on Sunday. On its second Monday (day 12), the film made ₹13.50 crore, followed by ₹14 crore on Tuesday — likely aided by discounted ticket rates — and ₹10.55 crore on Wednesday (day 14) which is its lowest number so far. On Thursday, day 15, it minted Rs 9 crore. This was the first time, it recorded a single digit number. With that, it made Rs 147.85 crore in its second week. On day 16, Friday, the film made Rs 9.12 crore. It has begun day 17, which is third Saturday on a very slow note, with Rs 77 lakhs in the morning shows. The total collection of ‘Kantara’ is now Rs 495.14 crore. It may be expected to cross Rs 500 crore by the end of the day.In Karnataka, the film has achieved a historic milestone, becoming the highest-grossing movie ever in the state. The period folk action saga is showing no signs of slowing down, rapidly heading toward an unprecedented ₹200 crore gross in Karnataka alone.By the end of its second Wednesday (day 14), the prequel to ‘Kantara’ had amassed over ₹185 crore, overtaking the lifetime total of the 2022 blockbuster (₹183.60 crore) to claim the title of Karnataka’s biggest box office success, and that too in just two weeks. One key factor behind this record-breaking performance is the unusually high average ticket price of over ₹300. This became possible after the producers challenged the state’s price cap order in court. Following the Karnataka High Court’s stay on the government’s restriction that limited ticket prices to ₹200, the film’s revenue witnessed a significant jump.Day wise collection of the film in India:Day 1 [1st Thursday] ₹ 61.85 Cr [Ka: 19.6 Cr ; Te: 13; Hi: 18.5; Ta: 5.5; Mal: 5.25] -Day 2 [1st Friday] ₹ 45.4 Cr [Ka: 13.5 Cr ; Te: 11.5; Hi: 12.5; Ta: 4.25; Mal: 3.65]Day 3 [1st Saturday] ₹ 55 Cr [Ka: 14.5 Cr ; Te: 11.25; Hi: 19.5; Ta: 5.5; Mal: 4.25]Day 4 [1st Sunday] ₹ 63 Cr [Ka: 16.75 Cr ; Te: 11.5; Hi: 23; Ta: 6.75; Mal: 5]Day 5 [1st Monday] ₹ 31.5 Cr [Ka: 12 Cr ; Te: 5.4; Hi: 8.75; Ta: 2.75; Mal: 2.6]Day 6 [1st Tuesday] ₹ 34.25 Cr [Ka: 13.5 Cr ; Te: 4.75; Hi: 11.25; Ta: 2.5; Mal: 2.25]Day 7 [1st Wednesday] ₹ 25.25 Cr [Ka: 9.25 Cr ; Te: 3.5; Hi: 8.25; Ta: 2.25; Mal: 2]Day 8 [2nd Thursday] ₹ 21.15 Cr [Ka: 7.85 Cr ; Te: 2.65; Hi: 7; Ta: 2; Mal: 1.65]Week 1 Collection ₹ 337.4 Cr [Ka: 106.95 Cr ; Te: 63.55; Hi: 108.75; Ta: 31.5; Mal: 26.65; Ben: 0] -Day 9 [2nd Friday] ₹ 22.25 Cr [Ka: 7.5 Cr ; Te: 3.25; Hi: 7.25; Ta: 2.5; Mal: 1.75]Day 10 [2nd Saturday] ₹ 38.5 Cr [Ka: 11.25 Cr ; Te: 5.25; Hi: 14; Ta: 4.75; Mal: 3.25]Day 11 [2nd Sunday] ₹ 40 Cr [Ka: 12.3 Cr ; Te: 4.8; Hi: 14.25; Ta: 5.25; Mal: 3.4]Day 12 [2nd Monday] ₹ 13.50 CrDay 13 [2nd Tuesday] ₹ 14 Cr [Ka: 3.75 Cr ; Te: 1.5; Hi: 6.35; Ta: 1.4; Mal: 1]Day 14 [2nd Wednesday] ₹ 10.55 Cr [Ka: 3.25 Cr ; Te: 1.1; Hi: 4.15; Ta: 1.25; Mal: 0.8]Day 15 [3rd Thursday] ₹ 8.87 Cr [Ka: 2.71 Cr ; Te: 0.84; Hi: 3.59; Ta: 1.15; Mal: 0.58] *Week 2 Collection ₹ 147.85 Cr [Ka: 45.7 Cr ; Te: 18.15; Hi: 54.25; Ta: 18.3; Mal: 11.45; Ben: 0]Day 16 [3rd Friday] ₹ 9.12 Cr [Ka: 3.05 Cr ; Te: 0.84; Hi: 3.5; Ta: 0.92; Mal: 0.81] * rough dataDay 17 [3rd Saturday] ₹ 0.77 Cr ** -Total ₹ 495.14 Cr
