Ever since Rishab Shetty’s Kantara : A Legend Chapter 1 hit the theaters on 2nd October, box office records have kept on tumbling. Kantara 2 has already become the 12th biggest of Indian cinema and still has a lot of steam left at the box office. Over its first week- it was also able to clock the highest collection for Saturday, Sunday and Monday collections of 2025. But when it comes to Week 2 records, the film has found a formidable challenger in Vicky Kaushal and Laxman Utekar’s Chhaava.
Kantara 2 failed to beat the 2nd weekend collection of Chhaava which was the highest in 2025, it also couldn’t go past its Monday and Tuesday collection which were also the highest for 2025. And even on Wednesday it couldn’t breach the record set by Chhaava for the highest 2nd Wednesday collection of 2025 with a box office of Rs 23 crore. Kantara 2 which over the second week has slowed down comparatively was able to earn only Rs 10.55 crore.
But Kantara 2 did manage to go past the other 2nd Wednesday collections like Mohit Suri, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara which collected Rs 7.5 crore and Ashwin Kumar’s Mahavatar Narsimha which earned Rs 6 crore. Both films made it to the highest grossing films of 2025.
