Kangana compares her journey to SRK

‘I was from a village…’: Kangana Ranaut compares her journey to ‘convent-educated’ Shah Rukh Khan

Kangana Ranaut has spoken candidly about her rise to fame, claiming her journey stands apart from other actors. The ‘Queen’ star recently compared her journey in Bollywood to that of Shah Rukh Khan, claiming that her rise to fame came from much humbler beginnings.

Kangana Ranaut reflects on her early struggles

Speaking at an event in Delhi, Kangana reflected on how her success stands apart from others in the film industry. As quoted by News 18, she said, “Why did I get so much success? There is probably nobody else who came from a village and got such success in the mainstream. You talk about Shah Rukh Khan; he is from Delhi and convent-educated. I was from a village that nobody would have even heard of, Bhamla.”Her comment sparked interest and debate online, as many pointed out that both actors have built their fame from scratch. However, Kangana made it clear that she believes her background made her journey far more challenging.

Kangana Ranaut speaks about being brutally honest

The ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ actress further added that her words might not sit well with everyone, but she has always been unapologetically straightforward about her views. “Maybe others may disagree, but I feel it’s because I am brutally honest, not just with people but with myself too,” she said.

Kangana Ranaut’s journey in Bollywood

Hailing from Bhamla in Himachal Pradesh, Kangana’s rise to stardom has been nothing short of remarkable. Coming from a small-town background, she ran away from home as a teenager to chase her dreams in Mumbai. At just 19, she made her acting debut in ‘Gangster,’ a film that immediately made people take notice of her talent. Over the years, she became one of the most recognizable faces in Bollywood, not just for her acting but also for filmmaking.
