According to the CNN News18 report, Deepika Padukone had filmed some portions of the sequel to the 2024 movie. Reportedly, the actress shot for 20 days for the upcoming installment. As per the report, the shooting was done while they were filming for the first part.
A source told the publication that the actress’ exit stemmed from her demand for a 25 percent hike in her remuneration. The person shared with the website that Deepika felt that she was irreplaceable. The individual added, “Deepika was fully aware of the sequel and the strong, performance-driven role created for her.”The source added, “In fact, she had already filmed nearly 20 days of Part 2 while shooting Part 1.” The person stated that the director had confirmed the same during several interviews.As per the report, the next shooting schedule for the film was supposed to be decided mutually. The publication’s source added, “So the claim of a date clash holds no merit.”

Sharing a post from the sets on Instagram, the actress wrote, “The very first lesson he taught me almost 18 years ago while filming Om Shanti Om was that the experience of making a movie, and the people you make it with, matter far more than its success. I couldn’t agree more and have applied that learning to every decision I’ve made since. And that’s probably why we’re back making our 6th movie together?”
