Shomu Mukherjee left a significant mark on Hindi cinema as a writer, producer, and director. Over the years, he was associated with several films, including ‘Ek Baar Muskura Do’, ‘Nanha Shikari’, ‘Chhailla Babu’, ‘Fiffty Fiffty’, ‘Lover Boy’, ‘Pathar Ke Insan’, and ‘Sangdil Sanam’. It was during the making of ‘Ek Baar Muskura Do’ that he crossed paths with Tanuja, a meeting that eventually blossomed into a lifelong relationship. The couple married in 1973 and went on to build a close-knit family. They welcomed two daughters, Kajol and Tanisha, both of whom later entered the entertainment industry. Shomu passed away on April 10, 2008, following a heart attack at the age of 64.
