Kajol pulls Ajay’s leg over his slim look at Durga Puja

Kajol pulls Ajay Devgn’s leg over his slim look at Durga Puja with Nysa Devgn: ‘Bhooke pyaase rehte hai'

Like every year, Kajol turned heads at North Mumbai’s iconic Durga Puja pandal, where the Mukerji family hosts one of the grandest Navratri celebrations. On Maha Navami (October 1), she was joined by husband Ajay Devgn and daughter Nysa Devgan as the family offered prayers at the pandal.Kajol, radiant in a green saree with silver embellishments, paired with a gajra and minimal jewellery, was seen twinning with Ajay, who looked dapper in a green kurta and white pyjama. Their daughter Nysa accompanied them, making it a complete family outing.

Kajol’s witty leg-pulling goes viral

During the festivities, a light-hearted moment between Kajol, Ajay and the paparazzi stole the spotlight. In a viral video, as Ajay stood before the Durga idol, photographers called him “slim.” Kajol immediately jumped in with her trademark humour, quipping, “Khate nahi hain. Bhooke pyaase rehte hai (He doesn’t eat. He stays hungry and thirsty).”Her remark left everyone in splits, and the video quickly spread across social media, earning praise for Kajol’s playful camaraderie with the paps.

A star-studded gathering

The festive mood was further elevated with several celebrities making their presence felt. Rani Mukerji, Tanishaa Mukerji, Ayan Mukerji, Rupali Ganguly, Hrithik Roshan, and filmmaker Karan Johar were among the guests spotted at the pandal. Earlier, during Ashtami, Jaya Bachchan created a stir when she made a rare appearance in a red silk saree, celebrating Durga Puja with the Mukerji family. Kajol, mindful of Jaya’s history with photographers, was seen requesting paparazzi not to shout as she invited the veteran actress to pose with her. Despite some irritation caused by the noisy shutterbugs, Jaya smiled warmly alongside Kajol and even posed solo after a little persuasion.

On the work front

Kajol was last seen in The Trial Season 2, which received a mixed-to-positive response, with her performance widely appreciated. Ajay Devgn, meanwhile, continues to be a box-office force. While Son of Sardaar 2 underperformed, Raid 2 emerged a hit earlier this year. He now has an interesting lineup with De De Pyaar De 2, Dhamaal 4 and Drishyam 3 in the pipeline. Go to Source
