After a promising start, Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Kaantha’ faced a minor box office dip on its sixth day, garnering around Rs 1.60 crore. Despite this mid-week lull, the film continues to draw audiences, especially in Tamil Nadu.

Dulquer Salmaan’s latest release ‘Kaantha’, directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, recorded a mild slowdown on its sixth day at the box office. After collecting a decent Rs 17.50 crore in its first five days, the film earned an estimated Rs 1.60 crore on Wednesday across all languages, taking the total India net collection to Rs 19.10 crore, as reported by the Sacnilk website.

Mid-week collections and occupancy trends

The film showed a slight dip from Tuesday’s Rs 1.85 crore, with Monday’s drop already marking a 60% fall. Dulquer Salmaan shines in this period drama

Dulquer Salmaan opens up about handling failure

Meanwhile, a recent clip of Dulquer during an interaction has gone viral for its honesty. When asked about stereotypes that men should not cry, he responded, “Cry, man. When a film we produced flopped, I cried. It does not make me less of a man.”While the actor did not reveal the film’s name, the underperforming King of Kotha is the only Malayalam production from his banner that struggled at the box office. Despite expectations, KOK disappointed viewers due to its weak story and screenplay, though its action sequences were praised.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
