'Kaantha' box office collections day 3: Dulquer Salmaan's film crosses Rs 13 crore mark

Dulquer Salmaan’s latest epic, ‘Kaantha’, has taken the box office by storm, raking in approximately Rs 13.22 crore over its opening weekend across India. Steady collections over the weekend

According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Kaantha’ opened to respectable numbers on its first Friday, earning Rs 4.35 crore, with the Tamil version contributing Rs 2.65 crore and Telugu bringing in Rs 1.7 crore. The momentum improved on Saturday as collections saw a healthy 14.94% jump, taking the day’s total to Rs 5 crore.On Sunday, the film continued its steady performance with Rs 4.35 crore (early estimates), matching its opening day.

Occupancy trends for ‘Kaantha’

Tamil Nadu remained Kaantha’s strongest market. The film recorded an overall 26.70% occupancy on Sunday. Afternoon and evening shows performed the best, touching 31.40% and 31.16% respectively. Morning and night shows maintained decent numbers as well.In the Telugu states, the film clocked an overall 16.96% occupancy. While lower than the Tamil version, the trend shows improvement throughout the day, with evening shows reaching nearly 20%.
