‘Jolly LLB 3’, a legal drama featuring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, premiered in cinemas on September 19, 2025. The movie, which was both scripted and directed by Subhash Kapoor, earned positive critical praise. After a successful run in theatres, the film will soon be available for streaming, with Netflix securing the digital rights.

Official announcement

A poster, featuring Akshay and Arshad in their advocate attire, was unveiled by the streaming giant. Alongside the poster, they shared a caption that read, “Milord, permission to be Jolly cause tareekh mil gayi hai! Watch Jolly LLB 3, out November 14, on Netflix.”The movie highlights the issues of land acquisition and the hardships faced by farmers, taking inspiration from the 2011 Bhatta and Parsaul land protests.

Plot overview

The story revolves around two lawyers, Jagdish “Jolly” Tyagi (played by Arshad Warsi) and Jagdishwar “Jolly” Mishra (played by Akshay Kumar), who find themselves on opposite sides of a legal battle over a land dispute. The conflict involves a powerful businessman, Haribhai Khaitan, and a case brought by a woman fighting against the forced acquisition of her village for a development project spanning from Bikaner to Boston—an event that tragically led to a farmer’s death by suicide. Though initially adversaries, the two Jollys eventually realise that joining forces is essential to defend the villagers against the corporate giant.
