Two years ago, the two famed stars officially parted ways and filed for divorce. Now, while in conversation with the hosts of ‘Good Morning America,’ the singer and actress opened up about how she had to deal with everything after their split.

Recalling what it was like, the star revealed that she stopped everything in her life to deal with the situation. “I canceled tours. I decided to just be home and sit in what had happened without running away from it through work, through another person, or through anything. Just sit,” she added, further sharing that it was one of the hardest parts of her life.She also revealed that it was a time in her life when she needed to figure out what was going on with her. She added, “I was just at a point where I was like, ‘What is going on with you?’ I couldn’t blame anybody else because I don’t think that’s where the lesson is.”

Jennifer Lopez shares what has changed ever since the divorce was finalized

The singer shared that over time, things have managed to get much better for her in all aspects of life. “I’m in my happy era,” she labels it, further sharing that she feels content and free about her identity after a very long time. She further commented that “There was always someone in my life and so many other things that I felt were out of my control,” recalling how the last time she felt like this was some time in her 20s.
