'Jatadhara' box office collection day 2: Sonakshi Sinha-Sudheer Babu’s supernatural thriller holds steady; Earns Rs 1.96 cr

Jatadhara, the supernatural thriller featuring the talents of Sonakshi Sinha and Sudheer Babu, has made an impressive splash at the box office, amassing Rs 1.96 crore over its opening weekend. The film takes viewers on a journey through a captivating ancient myth, steeped in the allure of sealed treasures and a protective spirit.

Sonakshi Sinha and Sudheer Babu’s bilingual supernatural thriller Jatadhara continued its modest run at the box office on Day 2. After earning Rs 1.07 crore on its opening day, the film added another Rs 89 lakhs on Saturday, bringing its total to Rs 1.96 crore India net across all languages.According to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk website, Jatadhara recorded an overall Telugu occupancy of 14.92% and Hindi occupancy of 7.68% on November 8, 2025.

Telugu and Hindi performance breakdown

In the Telugu belt, Jatadhara has the stronger presence. The morning shows saw around 12.21% occupancy, which rose slightly to 17.42% by night. The Hindi version struggled to gain traction as it had occupancy peaking at 11.61% during the night shows.

Storyline and performances

Directed by Abhishek Jaiswal and Venkat Kalyan, Jatadhara explores an ancient legend about nobles who sealed treasures with sacred rituals known as “bandanas.” Among these was the Pisachi Bandana, which unleashed a fierce guardian spirit, Dhanapisachi.The story follows Shiva (Sudheer Babu) who is a rational ghost hunter forced to question his beliefs when drawn into this age-old curse. Sonakshi Sinha, Shilpa Shirodkar, Indira Krishnan, and Ravi Prakash delivers stunning performances in this epic film. According to ETimes review, “On the technical front, the film impresses with its grandeur and visual appeal.
