Jaaved Jaaferi and Meezaan to clash as Skeletor and He-Man in Hindi remake

Jaaved Jaaferi and son Meezaan to clash in voiceovers as Skeletor and He-Man in epic Hindi remake: 'Feels nostalgic and surreal'

The upcoming fantasy adventure ‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’ has already created excitement among longtime fans, including actor Jaaved Jaaferi and his son Meezaan Jafri. The father-son duo has joined the Hindi version of the Nicholas Galitzine starrer, with Jaaved voicing the menacing Skeletor and Meezaan lending his voice to the iconic superhero He-Man. Despite being professionally associated with the film, both actors say they first connected with the franchise as passionate fans. For Jaaved, becoming part of the film brought back fond memories from the early ’90s, when the animated series was hugely popular among children and families. Recalling those days, he shared, “‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’ was a huge part of pop culture in the early 1990s. My kids and I used to watch the cartoon on TV.” The actor admitted that returning to the world of Eternia years later feels emotional and deeply personal.

Jaaved Jaaferi on voicing for Skeletor

Jaaved also opened up about stepping into the shoes of the legendary villain Skeletor, portrayed in the film by Jared Leto. Calling the experience unforgettable, he said, “Skeletor was such an iconic villain, wicked, dramatic, and unforgettable. After all these years, getting the opportunity to lend my voice to Skeletor feels nostalgic and surreal.” The actor believes the character’s larger-than-life personality made the dubbing process even more exciting.

Meezaan calls it a dream come true

For Meezaan too, being attached to the project turned into a nostalgic experience. Speaking about his childhood memories of the superhero saga, he revealed, “He-Man was a huge part of my childhood. I remember being glued to the television and getting transported into the world of Eternia.” The young actor expressed excitement about voicing one of the most beloved animated heroes for a new generation of audiences. The father-son duo was last seen together in ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, which also featured Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and R. Madhavan. While Jaaved Jaaferi has long been admired for his exceptional dancing skills, Meezaan Jafri has followed in his footsteps impressively. Their energetic dance face-off in the song ‘3 Shaukk’ quickly went viral across social media.
