Is Ranveer Singh making a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's 'King'? 'Dhurandhar' star to feature in special role

Rumours of a Ranveer Singh and Shah Rukh Khan team up have been doing the rounds ever since the actor was announced as the next leading man for the ‘Don’ franchise. After the ‘Dhurandhar’ star bowed out of the franchise, sparking a legal battle, new reports now claim that another Ranveer and SRK cross over is on the cards.

Is Ranveer Singh starring in King?

According to buzz circulating online, Ranveer may just be starring in the much-anticipated action thriller ‘King’. Unconfirmed posts on various social media handles and fan clubs claim that the actor will feature in a special role in the film that also stars his wife, Deepika Padukone.As per various online posts, Ranveer has allegedly filmed a special sequence for ‘King’, during the international schedule nearly two weeks ago. While there has been no official confirmation about his involvement in the project, the buzz comes after the actor was spotted on the film sets.

While at first, Singh’s spotting on the sets was presumed as a personal trip, accompanying his pregnant wife Deepika and his one-year-old daughter Dua, his possible professional involvement in the project has sparked excitement among fans eager to see the two stars share screen space. Ranveer was also spotted posing with members of the film’s crew during the recent international schedule, further fuelling buzz of a possible collaboration. As per a post on a ‘King’ fan handle, the viral theories claim that Ranveer’s role may be far more significant than a cameo. The actor is rumoured to play a ‘mysterious messenger guiding Suhana Khan through danger… and setting up a crucial turn in the story.’

If true, this would be Ranveer’s second project with SRK’s kids. He made his web series debut in Aryan Khan’s ‘The Bad***s of Bollywood’ last year.

SRK and Ranveer rumoured to team up for ‘Don 3’

Prior to the ‘King’ casting buzz, rumours were rife that Shah Rukh Khan would make an appearance in ‘Don 3’, which was initially set for Ranveer to take up the mantle, before he bowed out of the film the film early this year.Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘King’ is expected to be one of Shah Rukh Khan’s biggest projects following the blockbuster success of his recent films ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’.
