He congratulated the team and specifically highlighted the performances of Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur. “Congratulations to team Dacoit! Adivi Sesh is charming, smoldering and heartbreakingly vulnerable in a film that is refreshingly free of toxic tropes. Imran went on to appreciate the performances of Atul Kulkarni and Prakash Raj, while expressing that his personal favorite was his sister Zayn Marie. “Atul Kulkarni and Prakash Raj wonderful as always. ‘Dacoit’ explores love, betrayal, and revenge

Starring Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur, Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla, ‘Dacoit’ unfolds the story of a convict consumed by rage and longing for revenge against his ex-girlfriend who betrayed him. Imran Khan speaks out against toxic masculinity

Recently, Imran grabbed attention for speaking out against Bollywood’s tendency to promote misogyny and toxic masculinity. During a Reddit AMA session, he was asked about the idea of “alpha males” in Hindi films and shared his thoughts on masculinity. “I am disturbed by the upward trend in how misogyny and toxic masculinity are propagated in our films, and the world at large. I fear that men shy away from these conversations because, at an individual level, they feel blamed for the actions of others… and because of this, they miss the point that these restrictive definitions of masculinity hurt men as well. True strength lies in emotional vulnerability,” he wrote. Go to Source
