Hrithik’s sister Sunaina on battle with alcohol addiction

Hrithik Roshan's sister Sunaina Roshan opens up about battle with alcohol and junk food addiction, says admitting the problem ‘changed everything’

Sunaina Roshan, sister of Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, recently shared a deeply personal video on social media, opening up about her long battle with addiction. In the video, Sunaina spoke candidly about struggling with alcohol, junk food, and sweets, and how acknowledging the problem became a turning point in her life.Reflecting on that moment, she said, “The hardest thing I ever did was admit that I had a problem, but it changed everything.”

‘Addiction can take many forms’

Sunaina highlighted how addiction is not always obvious and can manifest in everyday habits. She explained, “Addiction can take many forms, food, alcohol, even habits we don’t realise we’re clinging to.”Sharing details of her own experience, she revealed the extent of her struggle. “I struggled with alcoholism and at one point an unhealthy relationship with sweets and junk food. It wasn’t easy,” she admitted.Sunaina stressed that recovery became possible only with the right mindset and a strong support system. Speaking about what helped her heal, she said, “With the right mindset, support and the courage to talk about it, I was able to pull myself out.”She also underlined that addiction should never define a person’s identity, adding, “Addiction does not define you, but it does demand that you face it.”

A message for those struggling

Encouraging others who may be facing similar battles, Sunaina emphasised the importance of seeking help and showing patience toward oneself. “You don’t have to do it alone. It’s not about perfection, it’s about progress,” she said. She concluded her message on a note of strength and hope, urging people to take recovery one step at a time. “Don’t be afraid to reach out for support. You are unbreakable,” she added. Following the video, Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, and Pinkie Roshan took to the comments section to praise Sunaina’s courage and resilience. For the uninitiated, Sunaina Roshan, daughter of filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, has previously spoken about her difficult health journey. Over the years, she has battled serious medical conditions, including cancer and a brain-related illness, and has emerged stronger each time. Go to Source
