Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar review Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: 'I may disagree with the politics... but I’m blown away'

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar continues its dominating run at the box office, comfortably crossing the Rs 150-crore mark within its first week. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the espionage thriller has not only impressed audiences but is also drawing strong reactions from within the industry. After several filmmakers and actors praised the film, the latest to react are Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan — both offering detailed and impactful responses to the film.

Akshay Kumar says he is “blown away”

On Wednesday, December 10, Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter handle to praise the film and its director. He wrote, “Watched Dhurandhar and I’m blown away. What a gripping tale and you’ve simply nailed it. @AdityaDharFilms. We need our stories to be told in a hard-hitting way and I’m so glad the audiences are giving the film all the love it deserves.”

Hrithik Roshan praises the craft, calls it “cinema”

Hrithik Roshan, known for his discerning perspective on filmmaking, shared a thoughtful note on Instagram after watching Dhurandhar.“I love cinema, I love people who climb into a vortex and let the story take control, spin them, shake them until what they want to say is purged out of them onto that screen. DHURANDAR is an example of that. Loved the storytelling. It’s cinema,” he wrote. In a rare and candid admission, Hrithik acknowledged that while he doesn’t align with the film’s political stance, he deeply admired its cinematic execution. He added, “I may disagree with the politics of it, and argue about the responsibilities us filmmakers should bear as citizens of the world. Nevertheless, can’t ignore how I loved and learnt from this one as a student of cinema. Amazing.”
