Hollywood celebs who survived heart attacks

Hollywood celebrities who have survived heart attacks: Did you know Mark Sheppard was revived '4 TIMES'?

When it comes to health scares, no one is immune to them, not even the most popular celebrities from the lanes of Hollywood. A lot of Hollywood celebrities over the years have shared their accounts on how they survived life-threatening heart attacks. Their accounts showcase not just the near-fatal incident but also talk about their miraculous recovery, a better understanding of a healthier lifestyle, and more.

Rosie O’Donnell

Rosie O’Donnell, who is loved for her acting chops and comic timing, had a heart attack when she was 50 years old. She mentioned the symptoms observed before the major health scare in her blog. She mentioned feeling chestache, pain in the whole body, arm going sore. Rosie further mentioned that her skin was clammy and she was nauseous. Irrespective of such a symptom, Rosie initially didn’t pay much heed to the signs. She later advocated seeking immediate medical attention and not neglecting the signs.

Kevin Smith

Famous actor, filmmaker, and comedian Kevin Smith had a near-death experience when he had a heart attack in 2018. Kevin was performing a 90-minute standup for television when he started feeling sweaty and nauseous. He was rushed to the hospital in time, where, with proper care, he was able to survive the life-threatening incident. Though when it happened, it would have been the scariest event of his life, later, while speaking to People, Kevin called it the greatest thing that has ever happened. It made him change his life for good. He turned vegan, adopted a healthier lifestyle, and lost significant weight.

Mark Sheppard

Mark Sheppard, or popularly called ‘Crowley,’ his character name from ‘Supernatural,’ had not one or two but six massive heart attacks. The actor revealed the same in December 2023 through a social media post. The actor collapsed in his kitchen and had to be revived four times. It was discovered that Mark had a complete blockage in his left anterior descending (LAD) artery.“You’re not going to believe this! Was on my way to an appointment yesterday when I collapsed in my kitchen. Six massive heart attacks later, and being brought back from dead 4 times I apparently had a 100% blockage in my LAD. The Widowmaker,” he wrote in his post.

Bob Odenkirk

In July 2021, on the sets of ‘Better Call Saul,’ actor Bob Odenkirk had a massive heart attack. He was filming the final season when he collapsed and was unresponsive. He got immediate medical attention, which helped the actor to get better. Later, it was revealed that there was plaque buildup in his arteries for years. Though the actor never appeared to be in bad shape, another diagnosis revealed he had a serious blockage in his arteries. He underwent emergency surgery to place stents.

David Bowie

David Bowie, who generally made waves with his music, was in the news in 2004 after suffering a life-threatening heart attack. He was in Prague when he complained of chest pains. It was only three days before his final show in Germany. He was rushed to the hospital for prompt medical care. David had a speedy recovery, after which he returned to the stage in Germany. David continued to create magic with his music till his last breath. He passed away in 2016 after battling cancer. Go to Source
