Hemsworth-Berry fuel Storm’s ‘Avengers’ return

Did Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry CONFIRM Storm’s return with ‘Avengers: Doomsday’? - WATCH

Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry have sparked fresh speculation about Storm’s potential return as an X-Man to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actors, who have been on a promotional tour for their upcoming film ‘Crime 101’, found themselves on the hot seat, repeatedly questioned about the highly anticipated ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Hemsworth, who reprises his role as Thor in the next ‘Avengers’ instalment, is among the few stars from the original films, officially confirmed for the big budget Russo Brothers film.

Chris Hemsworth on Halle Berry’s MCU return

During an interview with cinemablend, Chris was asked whether it was a relief knowing there would be no one to “steal his thunder” in the film, with no word of Halle’s Storm returning to the franchise. The actor dismissed the idea saying, “No, I was bummed.” Hemsworth went on to add, “I think Thor would be thinking, ‘Oh, we’re the same… we have something in common, the incredible wielding of the weather patterns.’”

Halle Berry on why Storm was left out

Berry, who famously played Storm in the X-Men franchise, also shared her take on the casting. She said, “Maybe that’s why she’s not there. They don’t need her. You got Thor, why do you need Storm?”Hemsworth then appeared to extend a playful invitation to his co-star, adding, “Everyone wants you in it. You’ve got to come and just hang out with us.”

Halle Berry denies Storm’s return

However, buzz about the actress’ rumoured casting only grew with the two joining their co-star Mark Ruffalo. When quizzed again about the actress’ casting, the two denied the buzz. However, Halle’s playful smirk directed at Mark has given rise to speculation that she may be among the long list of heroes slated to make their returns to the big screens.

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ release date

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ remains one of Marvel’s most closely guarded projects, with fans eagerly awaiting December 18 for the film’s release. The movie will be followed by another actioner – ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ which is slated for a December 2027 release. Go to Source
