Hema Malini slams reports of Dharmendra's death: 'Please give due respect to family and its need for privacy'

Death reports of actor Dharmendra flooded the social media on Tuesday morning. The actor is currently admitted to the Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai and it was defence minister Rajnath Singh’s tweet which led to rumours of the legendary actor’s death. However, first Esha Deol and now Hema Malini have clarified that this is not true. They’ve rubbished the death reports and said that the actor is recovering and stable. They also requested privacy for the family during such times. Here’s what Hema Malini said: On Monday evening as well, Hema Malini had dropped an update regarding the ‘Sholay’ actor’s health. She wrote, “I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji who is in hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored and we are all with him.🙏 I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery.”

Meanwhile, Esha Deol wrote, “The media seems to be in overdrive. And spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for Papa’s speedy recovery.”There’s no update as of now from Sunny Deol’s team but a statement was issued by his team on Monday evening. It read, “Mr Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available. Kindly don’t indulge in spreading false rumours regarding his health. Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family’s right to privacy.” On work front, Dharmendra was last seen in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ and ‘Teri Baaton Mein Ulja Jiya’. The actor will be seen next in Sriram Raghavan’s film ‘Ikkis’ starring Agastya Nanda and Jaideep Ahlawat. Fans continue to pray for the veteran actor’s speedy recovery.
