Harshvardhan doesn’t mind cameos opposite top heroine

When Harshvardhan Rane said he doesn’t mind cameos opposite top heroine, felt ‘lucky’ to work with Anjali And Nayantara

When actor Harshvardhan Rane was still building his career in 2014, he had already shared screen space with some of the South Indian film industry’s top heroines. In an interview with IANS that year, the actor admitted he never minded doing cameo or supporting roles if it meant working with acclaimed leading ladies. “I don’t think I can complain if I’m paired opposite top heroines of the industry. It’s not every day that I get to work with them. I feel lucky to be getting such opportunities,” he said. The actor appeared opposite Anjali in Geethanjali and was paired with Karthika Nair in another film. In the southern remake of Kahaani titled Anamika, he starred alongside Nayantara.

Building his identity in cinema

Harshvardhan later stepped smoothly into Hindi films. He earned widespread recognition with the romantic drama ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ (2016). His portrayal of the intense yet tender Inder Parth Chaturvedi resonated with audiences, marking his image as a romantic hero.

Strong opening for his latest release ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’

Rane has now made his festive return to the big screen with ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’, co-starring Sonam Bajwa. Despite competing with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s Thamma, the film surprised trade circles by collecting Rs 9 crore on its opening day and Rs 7.5 crore on its second, taking its total to Rs 16.5 crore, as reported by the Sacnilk website. For a film made on a moderate budget, these numbers are promising and the film is expected to have a longer run in cinemas.
