Actor Hansika Motwani has shared her first social media post after her divorce from businessman Sohael Khaturiya was finalised.The ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ actress shared a short but meaningful message on her Instagram story on Thursday which is just after the Mumbai Family Court officially granted the couple a divorce. The court’s decision marked the end of their four-year marriage and Hansika’s post appeared to show a sense of positivity and strength amid the happenings in personal life.

Actress shares positive message

Hansika posted a short phrase that carried a deeper meaning, “Chardi Kala always.” The phrase comes from Punjabi culture and philosophy and it refers to maintaining positivity even during difficult situations.

Divorce finalised in Mumbai court

Hansika Motwani and Sohael Khaturiya have officially ended their marriage. Their divorce was finalised on March 11 this year.The legal proceedings took place at the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai. According to the couple’s divorce petition both parties sought the separation through mutual consent.The documents reportedly stated that their marriage had “irretrievably broken down.”

Lawyer clarifies settlement

A statement shared by the legal team also addressed the details of the separation. According to a report by NDTV, Hansika’s lawyer explained how the process unfolded, “Our client had initially approached her now former husband seeking an amicable separation, which ultimately culminated in the present decree.” The lawyer added, “The respondent filed his affidavit before the court today, confirming his consent to the dissolution of the marriage.”The statement concluded, “It is pertinent to clarify that our client has made no claims whatsoever for alimony or maintenance, as her sole intention was to bring a dignified and peaceful closure to the marriage.”

Hansika Motwani and Sohael Khaturiya got married in December 2022 and their wedding took place at the historic Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur.The ceremony was widely covered in the media and attended by close friends and family members.However, their relationship also attracted attention because of past connections within their social circle. Reports had previously stated that Sohael Khaturiya was earlier married to Rinky Bajaj, who was allegedly Hansika’s close friend.Coming to Hansika’s work front, she was last seen in the thriller film ‘Guardian’. Hansika has also appeared in the Malayalam thriller ‘Villain’ starring Mohanlal and Vishal in the lead.
