Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja opens up on reuniting with Krushna, Kashmera

Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja opens up on reuniting with Krushna Abhishek, Kashmera Shah, says their children look like her

While Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja has a fan following of her own on social media, thanks to her candid interviews and personality, the family has been in the news for several reasons. One is aware of the fact that Sunita and Govinda had a family feud with Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera Shah for 14 years. While Govinda and Krushna had reunited a while ago, now even Sunita has forgiven them. In the latest episode of Laughter Chefs season 3, one saw Sunita ending this long feud with Krushna and Kashmera. Sunita has now opened up on it. She expressed her feelings during a chat with Mid-day, “I finally reunited with Krushna and Kashmera. Vipul came to me two or three times, inviting me to the show. I had spoken to Kashmera and Krushna earlier, but then I decided to make a surprise appearance, they were not informed that I was coming. It was really nice to see them; they are my kids.”The reunion held even more significance as it marked Sunita’s first meeting with Krushna’s twin children. Overcome with emotion, she shared, “It has been 14 years since the rift. I didn’t want to keep this burden in my heart, so I decided to forgive them. I was so happy to see my grandchildren for the first time. They are so sweet, and my heart was full seeing how they look like me. They are very good-looking, God bless them.”Sunita’s appearance coincided with World Laughter Day, making the moment even more symbolic. As she walked onto the stage calling out Krushna’s name, both he and Kashmera were left stunned. What began as a cheerful segment soon turned emotional—Krushna fell at her feet before embracing her, while Kashmera broke down and asked for forgiveness. The episode also captured Sunita warmly meeting her grandchildren, showering them with hugs and kisses. It concluded on a hopeful note, with Sunita and Kashmera cooking together, hinting at a fresh beginning. The fallout between Krushna and his uncle, Govinda, reportedly started after the veteran actor took offence to jokes made about him on television. Over time, Sunita distanced herself from Krushna’s family, and tensions worsened when Kashmera posted a cryptic tweet that was widely believed to be directed at Govinda. As the disagreement spilled into the public eye, Krushna claimed that Govinda had not visited his children in the hospital—an allegation the actor denied, calling his nephew dishonest. The rift continued to make headlines over the years, with Sunita even stating in 2024 that she would not appear on The Kapil Sharma Show due to Krushna and Kashmera being part of it.
