'Game of Thrones' star Lena Headey joins 'Wednesday' Season 3 cast with Andrew McCarthy, James Lance

The cast for the third season of ‘Wednesday’ just got bigger with former ‘Game of Thrones’ star Lena Headey joining Jenna Ortega on her next adventure. According to the latest reports, Headey was the latest star to join the growing star cast along with actors Andrew McCarthy, and James Lance stepping in to make guest appearances. Although much about their roles is still unknown, the official post announcing their casting seems to hint at the trio playing negative characters. “Every nightmare needs new faces,” read the caption.

‘Wednesday’ season 3 new cast

The hit series, currently in production, will see the trio joining the Season 3 sets which is currently filming in Dublin with director Tim Burton at the helm. Prior to their announcement, the show creators announced newcomers to the third season, including actress Eva Green, who is set to play Morticia’s sister, along with Winona Ryder in an undisclosed role. Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, and Kennedy Moyer are also part of the star cast.

‘Wednesday’ Season 3 plot

Season 3 will see Jenna Ortega reprise her lead role as Wednesday Addams. The story picks up from Season 2, where audiences last saw Wednesday zooming off on a mission with her Uncle Fester, played by Fred Armisen, to rescue her friend and roommate Enid, portrayed by Emma Myers, from being trapped as an alpha werewolf.

The show will feature returning cast members, including Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordonez, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Victor Dorobantu, and Evie Templeton, alongside franchise regulars Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Joanna Lumley.
