Farah SLAMS comment calling Raj ‘controversial’

Farah Khan defends Raj Kundra; SLAMS comment calling him ‘controversial’: ‘I don’t judge people by...'

Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan has reacted to the criticism for visiting actor Shilpa Shetty and businessman-turned-actor Raj Kundra at their Mumbai home. The visit was part of her YouTube series, where she, along with her cook Dilip, goes to celebrities’ homes, cooks with them, and shares casual conversations over meals.

Social media reacts to her visiting Shilpa-Raj’s house

During her visit, Farah cooked Moong Dal payasam with Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. Shilpa’s mother, Sunanda Shetty, also joined, making the gathering feel warm and familial. Farah captioned the video, “Shilpa Shetty aur Raj Kundra ke beautiful mansion mein family, masti and Moong Dal payasam (Family, fun and Moong Dal payasam in Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s beautiful mansion).”

Farah Khan called out for ‘insensitive’ questioning of Dhanashree Verma about divorce with Chahal

Not all viewers were happy. One social media user commented, “One humble request: your show is so popular for simplicity, authenticity and trustworthiness! Please don’t let controversial personalities use your show as a springboard for them to land in a place which they don’t even deserve to be in! Mr Kundra has created a controversial image for disrespectfully using Shilpa Shetty image for all wrong reasons! Women should be respected at all levels, and the act of Mr Kundra was just the opposite! So please make all women feel proud by introducing personalities who are respected in society for whatever work they do! Thanks.”

Farah Khan REACTS to the criticism

Farah responded to the comment defending her choice to feature the couple. She said, “Unlike you, I don’t judge people by what I read. I decide that after I spend time with them. You should not believe everything written. Lots is exaggerated.”

Controversies surrounding Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra

The criticism comes amid legal issues involving Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. Mumbai Police issued a Look Out Circular (LoC) against the couple in a Rs 60 crore cheating case, as reported by PTI. The case was registered by Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) following a complaint by Deepak Kothari. He alleged that the couple defrauded him through their now-defunct company, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. Kothari claimed that between 2015 and 2023, he invested over Rs 60 crore with them under the pretext of business expansion, but the money was allegedly diverted to personal expenses. An LoC is issued to stop or restrict a person under investigation from leaving the country.

Couple’s lawyers deny allegations and claims

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s lawyer denied the allegations, stating that they were civil in nature. They added that the matter had been addressed by the NCLT Mumbai on October 4, 2024. Despite this, the case continues to attract attention and fuel social media discussions. Go to Source
