Fans think Amrita Rao still looks like Poonam from 'Vivah' as she stuns in a blue lehenga at Sooraj Barjatya's daughter's wedding

Amrita Rao stunned in blue lehenga at Eesha Barjatya’s March 12 Mumbai reception, joined by Aamir, Salman Khan et al. Viral pics drew Vivah comparisons: “Movie mein bhi saharmili thi,” fans gushed. Her Jolly LLB 3 comeback with Akshay was a moderate hit last Sept.

Eesha Barjatya, daughter of Sooraj Barjatya, hosted her wedding reception in Mumbai on Thursday, March 12. Amrita Rao was spotted among the star-studded crowd, which also featured Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji, Rekha, Sonali Bendre, Vicky Kaushal, and more industry big shots.

Amrita Rao’s blue lehenga look

A viral video captured the actress arriving at the event in a striking blue lehenga. She made a graceful entrance, pausing to pose for the paparazzi before stepping inside. Her ethnic ensemble included a blue silk brocade lehenga skirt adorned with floral motifs and a broad silver border, paired with a V-neck blouse featuring silver floral embroidery and sequins. She complemented it with a matching blue dupatta boasting a detailed border, draped over one shoulder and tucked at the waist. Heavy jewelry rounded off the look, a bold necklace with coordinating earrings and bangles. She left her hair loose and went for subtle, natural makeup.

Fans compare Amrita Rao to Vivah’s Poonam

Her wedding reception snaps exploded online, instantly sparking comparisons to her iconic Poonam role in the 2006 hit ‘Vivah’ opposite Shahid Kapoor. Fans raved about her enduring natural charm and unchanged appearance after all these years. “Movie mein bhi saharmili thi or real mein bhi hai,” one noted. “Bass Poonam ban ke reh gyi,” quipped another. “Phle bhi khubsurat thi aaj bhi khubsurat hai,” gushed a supporter. “Ageing has been stopped,” joked a viewer. “So gorgeous,” rang in yet another user.
