Salman Khan fans call out AR Murugadoss over his comments on actor arriving late on Sikandar set: 'If hypocrisy had a face...'

Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ flopped, and director AR Murugadoss faces backlash for revealing shooting challenges, including Salman’s late arrivals, leading to night shoots with extensive VFX. Fans are criticizing Murugadoss for perceived hypocrisy, citing his past praise of the actor. ‘Sikandar,’ made on a substantial budget, significantly underperformed at the box office, intensifying the controversy.

Salman Khan’s last release Sikandar may have flopped at the box office, but the controversy isn’t over. Fans have now turned their ire on director AR Murugadoss after his recent remarks about the actor arriving late on set went viral, calling him a ‘hypocrite’ for previously praising Salman.

Director reveals shooting challenges

In an interview with Valaipechu Voice, Murugadoss revealed that shooting with a superstar isn’t easy. He explained that even daytime scenes had to be filmed at night because Salman would arrive on set only by 8 PM, whereas the crew was accustomed to starting shoots early in the morning. He added that almost everything was shot on a green mat, with extensive VFX used to create daylight effects for scenes filmed at night. On top of that, multiple people frequently suggested numerous spot changes on the set and in the script. The filmmaker also admitted that, despite the story having an emotional arc, he was unable to execute it effectively.

Fans call out hypocrisy

Salman’s fans are now criticizing Murugadoss for his comments about the actor arriving late on set. They are sharing his past interviews in which he had praised Salman, calling the director a ‘hypocrite.’ One fan wrote, ‘Before #Sikandar release : Working with #SalmanKhan is incredible. After disaster work by #ARMurugadoss : Couldn’t match timings , language issue , execution failure. If Hypocrisy had a face then it should be Bauna @ARMurugadoss Fun Fact : He failed with Rajnikant too (SIC)’.

Was it salman bhai who wrote the script, action sequences,VFX it was production team and you it’s clearly your fault (sic).”Made on a budget of Rs 200 crore, Sikandar managed to collect only Rs 110 crore at the Indian box office, marking it as a major flop.
