Fan GRABS Ariana at ‘Wicked: For Good’ premiere – WATCH

'Wicked: For Good': Cynthia Erivo protects Ariana Grande after fan breaches barricade and GRABS singer at Singapore premiere

Ariana Grande was in for a fright while walking down the yellow brick road at the Singapore premiere of her upcoming film ‘Wicked: For Good’. Videos from the grand event saw the actress walking down the yellow carpet with her co-stars Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum. Ariana was seen holding Michelle’s hand as she walked the carpet while also signing autographs and waving out to fans.

However, things took a shocking turn when a man broke through security barricades and rushed toward Grande, and grabbed her. The clip shows the man jumping ecstatically with an arm around Ariana’s shoulder, while the singer looked on in shock. The videos circulating online show Cynthia Erivo springing into action and quickly pushing the man away. She then protectively places her arm around Ariana while the security team intervened.

Fans react to shocking incident

“This is assault,” one fan wrote on social media, sharing footage from the scene. “Touching and grabbing people without their consent is assault. Ariana Grande was assaulted and the person who did it thinks he’s cool for doing it. I’m so livid. The entitlement of ‘fans’ is grotesque.”Another attendee, visibly shaken, posted, “This is the worst thing to happen – I can’t believe I saw Ariana get harassed in front of my own eyes… and she was about to reach me too. She looked so scared it breaks my heart.” The altercation reportedly prompted event organisers to cut short the yellow brick path walk-through planned for the cast, disappointing many fans who had gathered in advance to catch a glimpse of the star. “This guy ruined it for everyone,” one user wrote.

Fans praise Cynthia for protecting Ariana

Following the incident, fans online praised Erivo for her swift response, with many expressing concern for Grande’s safety and well-being. “I’m glad Cynthia Erivo was there, I’m glad security was there, and I hope Ariana has time to rest and recover,” a fan added. According to an Instagram post, the man seemed to have walked away without any action taken against him. Netizens shared his photo from his Instagram stories where he posted a selfie with a caption, “I finally met Ariana Grande tonight!!!” Go to Source
