‘Euphoria’ Season 4: Will the hit series return after Season 3?

'Euphoria' Season 4 update: Sam Levinson and Zendaya hint Season 3 could mark the end of the hit series

After an almost four-year hiatus, ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 has returned to screens, five years after the events of Season 2 and into darker, more complex territory than ever before. With the season finale approaching, fans are already asking the question on everyone’s mind — will there be a Season 4?According to USA TODAY, no official announcement has been made yet regarding a fourth season, with representatives for the streamer not immediately responding to requests for comment.

What the creator and cast have said about ‘Euphoria’ Season 4

Series creator Sam Levinson hinted that Season 3 could be the last, telling Variety in an article published on April 7 that he writes “every season like it’s the last season” and has “no plans” for a Season 4. “I want to finish this as strong as I can. I’m putting some finishing touches. I just want to deliver a slam dunk season,” he said.Zendaya also indicated the series would be coming to an end, telling Drew Barrymore on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ in April, “I think so, yeah,” when asked if Season 3 was the final season. “That closure is coming.”However, Episode 8 of Season 3 is billed as a season finale rather than a series finale, suggesting the door may not be entirely closed on a potential continuation.

What happened in ‘Euphoria’ Season 3

The season saw Rue, played by Zendaya, working as an indentured servant for drug dealer Laurie and later a crime kingpin named Alamo Brown. Cassie, played by Sydney Sweeney, and Nate, played by Jacob Elordi, navigated married life and mounting debt, with Cassie eventually becoming an adult star to help pay off what they owed. Jules, played by Hunter Schafer, left art school to become a full-time sugar baby.In a shocking development, Elordi’s character Nate was killed off in the penultimate episode of Season 3, leaving fans stunned ahead of the finale.

‘Euphoria’ Season 3 cast

The Season 3 cast includes Zendaya as Rue, Hunter Schafer as Jules, Jacob Elordi as Nate, Sydney Sweeney as Cassie, Alexa Demie as Maddy, Maude Apatow as Lexi, Eric Dane as Cal, Colman Domingo as Ali, Martha Kelly as Laurie, Chloe Cherry as Faye, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Alamo Brown, Rosalia as Magick and Anna Van Patten as Kitty.

How to watch the ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 finale

There was an almost four-year gap between Seasons 2 and 3 due to the show facing several production delays, including the 2023 Hollywood actors’ and screenwriters’ strikes. In March 2024, the network announced it was allowing the series’ cast to pursue other acting jobs amid the long wait for Season 3. The Season 3 finale aired on May 31 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the network and was made available to stream on its platform at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. Go to Source
