‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ box office day 24

'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat' box office day 24: The Harshvardhan Rane starrer crosses Rs 77 crore, nears the end of its theatrical run

‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ is finally showing signs of fatigue at the box office as it inches toward the end of its theatrical journey, and a similar slowdown is visible for ‘Thamma’. Starting Monday, both these films—and even smaller releases like ‘The Taj Story’, have registered noticeably weak footfalls. The impact of the Red Fort blast appears to have discouraged audiences from heading to cinemas. In its second week, the Harshvardhan Rane, Sonam Bajwa romantic drama posted a total of Rs 16.3 crore. On Friday (day 18), the film brought in Rs 70 lakhs. Thanks to the holiday, Saturday (day 19) saw an unexpected upswing with collections touching Rs 1.25 crore. Sunday rose further to Rs 1.5 crore, only for numbers to soften again on Monday with Rs 50 lakhs. Tuesday added Rs 75 lakhs, while early estimates for Wednesday place the figure at Rs 60 lakhs. Thursday (day 24) is expected to finish around Rs 50 lakhs. As per Sacnilk, the cumulative total stands at Rs 77.30 crore.

Doctor Trolls Harshvardhan Rane’s ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ – Here’s The Reason Why!

The film was reportedly mounted on a budget of Rs 25 crore, so this collection so far makes it a huge hit. It released with ‘Thamma’ which has crossed Rs 130 crore but the Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna starrer was made on a much higher budget and also released in three times more screens. With this, the film has overtaken titles like ‘Param Sundari’, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, ‘Bad Newz’, and ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’. Up ahead, the next milestones are ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ at ₹78 crore nett and ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ at ₹83 crore nett, as reported by Box Office India. An ₹80 crore nett lifetime finish looks easily attainable, and with some stability in the coming weeks, the tally could inch a few crores higher. Now on this Friday, one sees the release of Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh starrer ‘De De Pyaar De 2’.
