The much-awaited romantic comedy ‘Dude’, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju, has finally hit theatres. Early Twitter reviews are already pouring in. Fans are praising the film’s youthful energy, fun-filled first half, and Pradeep’s return to form after ‘Love Today’ and ‘Dragon’.One user wrote, “#Dude Blockbuster first half written all over it — fun, emotion and twist Pradeep is back with a bang again and again… Wow loved it Just a decent second half is enough now for #Dude diwali @SaiAbhyankkar score elevates the movie… Keerthiswaran dealt it very well.”Another tweet read, “#Dude Engaging 1st Half! Despite the mixed reactions, many fans are still enjoying the film’s vibrant tone and youthful vibe. Another tweet highlighted, “DUDE’s first half is youth vibe and thoroughly entertaining — the fresh treatment keeps the audience constantly guessing, packed with plenty of Pradeep Ranganathan style moments. Sharat Kumar’s characterization further adds strength to the film.” Massive jump in advance bookings before releaseAhead of its release on October 17, reportedly, ‘Dude’ witnessed a significant surge in advance bookings. The film initially collected Rs 38.55 lakhs on Wednesday morning but saw a remarkable jump to Rs 2.48 crore by Thursday morning — a 500% spike in just 24 hours.
