Diplo: BTS will shock the world with ‘ARIRANG’

Diplo on working with BTS on their album 'ARIRANG': 'it’s honestly gonna shock the world'

Little has been revealed about the BTS comeback album, ‘ARIRANG’, but ARMY have Diplo to thank for spilling the beans about the upcoming album. The DJ, who will be working with the K-Pop stars, said on the red carpet that he believes the biggest project of his career is still to come with BTS.

Speaking at the Fanatics Super Bowl party on Saturday, Diplo opened up to TMZ about collaborating with the global K-pop superstars and teased what fans can expect when the album drops online on March 20. Speaking to the portal, he said, “I feel so lucky. I’ve worked for three decades, and to link up with a group like that and have them trust me to do some awesome music, it’s honestly gonna shock the world.”

Diiplo praises BTS as ‘real deal’

While Diplo did not reveal how many tracks he worked on, ‘ARIRANG’ will feature a total of 14 new songs, Big Hits announced last month. He also praised the band for their deep involvement in the creative process of te album saying, “They’re so hands-on. They’re so creative, I can’t believe it. Jungkook? No autotune, perfect voice. They’re funny as hell, they rap, they do everything. They’re like the real deal.”Speaking about his experience working with RM, Jin, Jimin, j-hope, Jung Kook, V and Suga, he said that the boys are thorough professionals, while admitting that they are disciplined and surprisingly laid-back. He even joked that the boys are “super funny and chill” and added that they “smell really nice too.”

Diplo declared ARIRANG as his biggest project

The DJ, who has a bunch of hits to his name, also had no qualms admitting, “For sure, it’s going to be the biggest thing I’ve ever done,” he said.

About ‘ARIRANG’

‘ARIRANG’ marks BTS’ first group release in nearly four years, since the boys began their compulsory military service. Their comeback will not only feature an album drop, but also a world tour that begins on March 21. In a first, the band will also stream their show LIVE on Netflix for the first time. BTS will then set out on a global tour with 82 shows. They will also release a documentary on the making on ARIRANG and give fans an exclusive behind the scenes look at their collaborative process.
