Dileep considers legal action

Dileep announces fresh legal steps to expose conspiracy; points finger at ex-wife Manju Warrier's role - Reports

Acquitted actor Dileep plans fresh legal action, alleging a conspiracy by investigating officers to frame him. He claims his former wife Manju Warrier’s speech initiated the plot to ruin his career and life. The Kerala government, however, intends to appeal the verdict. Dileep received an emotional homecoming.

Malayalam actor Dileep, who was acquitted by the trial court in the 2017 Kerala actress assault case, has announced that he is preparing for fresh legal steps to expose what he believes was a deliberate conspiracy against him.

Dileep says officers manipulated the facts

Speaking hours after the judgement, he claimed that certain investigating officers manipulated facts for personal motives and even misled the Chief Minister during the probe. As reported by IANS, Dileep added that the next course of action would be finalized after he receives a certified copy of the verdict.

Manju Warrier allegations

Talking to the media Dileep stated that the origin of the conspiracy against him began with a speech by actor Manju Warrier, his former wife, at an AMMA gathering in Kochi.According to the ‘Bha.Bha.Ba.’ actor, Manju Warrier’s public remarks calling for the conspiracy behind the assault to be exposed paved the way for his inclusion as an accused soon after. Dileep said, “They tried to destroy my career, my image, and my life in society. That was the real conspiracy here.”Manju Warrier has not issued a response to these new allegations yet. Reportedly, Dileep’s counsel, B. Raman Pillai, also backed the accusation and alleged that senior police officer ADGP B. Sandhya played a central role in framing the actor.

Dileep’s homecoming celebration

Immediately after being cleared of all charges along with three others, Dileep returned to his residence in Aluva, where he received an emotional welcome. Photos and videos circulating widely online captured Dileep embracing his wife, Kavya Madhavan, and daughter, Mahalakshmi. The pictures also show his family members congratulating him. However, reportedly, the Kerala government announced that it would appeal the verdict before the High Court.Coming to the work front, Dileep was last seen in the family drama movie ‘Prince and Family’ which turned out to be a decent hit.
