Diddy faces near-death incident in jail – Details Inside

Diddy faces near-death incident in jail; singer 'woke up to knife to his throat'

Sean “Diddy” Combs found himself in harm’s way while in prison. According to the latest reports, the music mogul, who is completing his sentencing in the Metropolitan Detention Centre (MDC) in Brooklyn, reportedly faced a near-death incident in his cell. The Daily Mail reports that Diddy woke up to an inmate allegedly pressing a makeshift blade to his throat. The claims were made public by his longtime associate Charlucci Finney.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Sentenced To 50 Months In Prison

About the attack

Finney told the portal that the rapper, who is awaiting appeal in a federal sex trafficking case, received a kind of ‘warning’ in jail. He revealed that an intruder allegedly held a makeshift blade to his neck. He explained, “If this guy had wanted to harm him, Sean would have been harmed. It would only take a second. I believe it was a message – a warning.”It is unclear if security intervened before the situation got out of hand.

Diddy’s lawyers concerned about his safety

During Combs’ trial early this month, his legal team raised concerns over the threat to his life. Following his conviction and four-year, two-month prison sentence, Combs’ lawyers have requested that he be moved to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.” They argued that the facility’s drug treatment program will help him stay clean.

Diddy to appeal conviction and sentence

Meanwhile, Combs has officially filed a notice to appeal both his conviction and sentence. The two-page form, known as a “notice of appeal,” was submitted to US District Court in New York, and more detailed papers containing the defence’s arguments in support of the appeal are expected to be filed in the coming days or weeks. The appeal will go before a three-judge panel sitting in the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.
