Dhurandhar will be the last of the multi-starrers: Yami

'Not pregnancy hormones, I was in tears': Yami Gautam on her first reaction to husband Aditya Dhar's 'Dhurandhar' starring Ranveer Singh: 'It will be the last of the multi-starrers'

Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ starring Ranveer Singh is one of the highly anticipated movies of the year. It’s set to release in December and the first look of the film itself raised excitement. In a recent interview, Aditya’s wife, actress Yami Gautam opened up on the film and her first reaction to the script. ‘Dhurandhar’ stars Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Yami says it’s going to be ‘last of the multi-starrer films’. The actress said during a chat with The Hollywood Reporter India, “I really believe that ‘Dhurandhar’ will be one of your last multi-starrers. And whatever I watched of the film, whatever I know and read of the film, it moved me right from Day 1. I had read a couple of scenes, and we were still shooting for Article 370. And Aditya said, ‘I have written something, would you like to read?’ I said yeah sure. And by the time he was back, I was so moved. I had tears in my eyes. He says ‘what happened, are you okay? I was expecting that time and nobody knew. I was like, ‘This is not my hormones but this is a really good script.’”Talking about Aditya as a director, Yami said, “He’s someone who’s so committed and his script, everything has to be on paper and everything has to be correct before I make such a big investment. It’s not about success but for an actor to get the opportunity to work with a director who gives them that kind of depth and perspective is special. I really miss that.” Yami said that the film will be remembered for a long time. “Really this is a great script. Aditya and his team, what they have done with the film, is something we will all remember for a really long time. I think we’re in for a very special year-endWhen asked about who’s more nervous on a Friday, Yami said, “I think we are very excited. There are butterflies. Even if Aditya is nervous, he’ll never let me know.”
