‘Dhurandhar’: Ranveer’s starrer to be split in two parts?

'Dhurandhar': Ranveer Singh-starrer to be split in two parts? Big-budget film eyes 2026 release for Part 2

Ranveer Singh’s upcoming action entertainer ‘Dhurandhar’ may not conclude within a single installment. As fans gear up to cath the first trailer, a new report doing the rounds online, hints at the film possibly releasing as a two-part action saga. According to Bollywood Hungama, the team is strongly considering presenting the story in two parts, a new trend in tinseltown. The first part which is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 5, is said to end at a crucial point, which will then set the stage for a continuation that could arrive in 2026.Reports say that director Aditya Dhar has shot extensively, crafting a story much bigger in scale and length than originally expected. The narrative reportedly shaped up so well that the makers are now exploring the idea of splitting it into two films to do justice to the scale, pacing and emotional impact. If this plan is finalized, the second part of Dhurandhar is expected to release next year which is likely in the first half of 2026.What remains uncertain is whether the filmmakers will announce the two-part structure before the release of Part 1 or whether audiences will discover it only when the first film concludes in theatres. Featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead, ‘Dhurandhar’ brings together an impressive ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Sara Arjun. The film marks Aditya Dhar’s return to direction after ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ in 2019.The teaser of ‘Dhurandhar’ which was unveiled on July 6, Singh’s birthday, received tremendous appreciation and significantly amplified the buzz around the project. A grand trailer launch has been planned for the next day, with the event expected to be attended by the film’s ensemble cast.
