During an event, Ranveer spoke about the director and said, “Seven years sir, making a film and he is absolutely unflinching, absolutely uncompromising in his vision, in his execution. He never settles for anything other than what he has dreamed up. I top my hat to you sir, the amount of work you have put in over the past two years. First of all, when you first engaged, I was shocked that you were even making something like this. And he was like, ‘yaar karna hai yaar, dikhana hai duniya ko ki hum kaun hai’. You know, he takes, he assumes the responsibility of Indian cinema and that’s why he is a champion and you will see it on December 5. What he has created is an absolutely unprecedented work of cinema and I am really happy and really proud that you are making a part of it. Thank you sir.”
