‘Dhurandhar’: Ranveer Singh calls Rakesh Bedi “an institution” at trailer launch

At the ‘Dhurandhar’ trailer launch in Mumbai, Ranveer Singh called veteran actor Rakesh Bedi “an institution.” The event showcased the star-studded cast, including Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt. At the trailer launch of ‘Dhurandhar’ in Mumbai, Ranveer Singh showered praise on veteran actor Rakesh Bedi, describing him as “an institution” with whom he has shared screen space. The event was attended by the film’s impressive ensemble cast, including Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Dhar, Rakesh Bedi, Jyoti Deshpande, and Lokesh Dhar.

Ranveer Singh remembers watching Rakesh Bedi since childhood

During an event, Ranveer talked about Rakesh and said, “Sir, I’ve watched you ever since I was a little kid in every medium, on stage, on television, in film and I’m so proud to be sharing the screen space with you in a film like this. Ladies and gentlemen, a man who is an institution in himself, we are so proud to say that after 49 years of a glorious acting career, I promise you this is one of his most standout performances.”

Rakesh Bedi’s career highlights

Rakesh Bedi began his film career as a supporting actor in the 1979 movie ‘Hamare Tumhare’. Over the years, he has acted in numerous films and TV serials. Some of his most memorable film roles were in ‘Mera Damaad’ and ‘Chashme Buddoor’ (1981). Backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, ‘Dhurandhar’ comes from filmmaker Aditya Dhar, who has written, directed, and co-produced the project along with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. The film brings together a powerful ensemble cast featuring Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, with veteran actor Rakesh Bedi playing a pivotal supporting part.
