‘Dhurandhar’ box office collection day 37 Vs ‘The Raja Saab day 2 (LIVE)

'Dhurandhar' box office collection day 37 (LIVE): The Ranveer Singh film nears Rs 800 crore on sixth Saturday, after seeing drop on Friday due to the release of Prabhas' 'The Raja Saab'

Dhurandhar earned Rs 3.4 crore on its sixth Friday, potentially impacted by The Raja Saab’s release. While Stree 2 saw more on its equivalent day due to cinema day, Dhurandhar’s weekend might outperform it. The Raja Saab could experience a weekend drop due to mixed reviews and word-of-mouth.

‘Dhurandhar’ has been reigning at the box office since more than a month and remained unaffected by any other movie release. The Aditya Dhar directorial was on a record breaking spree as it made more in its second week than its first week. The film left everyone surprised as it managed to cross Rs 1200 crore worldwide. Meanwhile, at the domestic box office, ‘Dhurandhar’ had a successful run, also because of the holiday period from Christmas to the New Years’. There were big movies like ‘Avatar Fire And Ash’ which released but the Ranveer Singh starrer continued its pace. Meanwhile, on December 25 and January 1, ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ and ‘Ikkis’ released but both these films had a dull opening. But ‘Dhurandhar’ saw a drop on its day 36 on sixth Friday as Prabhas starrer ‘The Raja Saab’ released. It Rs 3.5 crore on sixth Friday and this decline is also justified considering it already had started to slow down after the holiday period ended. Dhurandhar Movie ReviewStree 2′ did more on its sixth Friday due to it being cinema day for that film but there is a good chance that the weekend of ‘Dhurandhar’ will be better than that of the Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor starrer. Now on day 37, which is Saturday, the number will be more than the sixth Friday. It has made Rs 3.4 crore till evening. The total collection of the film is now Rs 793.75 crore. It may cross Rs 800 crore mark at the domestic box office today. There’s also a possibility of ‘The Raja Saab’ seeing a drop on the weekend after a good opening day which also had advance bookings since the reviews of the film and the word of mouth is not that great. On its day 2, till evening, the Prabhas starrer film also starring Sanjay Dutt, has made Rs 12.24 crore till evening. The total collection now stands at Rs 75.14 crore.
