‘Dhurandhar’ box office collection day 34 (LIVE)

'Dhurandhar' box office collection day 34 (LIVE): The Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna film slows down after crossing Rs 780 crore, holds better than Agastya Nanda's 'Ikkis' and Kartik Aaryan's 'Tu Meri Main Tera'

‘Dhurandhar’ has now begun to slow down in the fifth week after being on a record breaking spree for a month. The film released in cinemas on December 5 and the Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna starrer has broken the record of ‘Stree 2’, ‘Jawan’ and now also ‘Pushap 2’. The film managed to stay strong amidst a big Hollywood release like ‘Avatar Fire And Ash’ followed by other movies like ‘Tu Meri Main Tera’ and now ‘Ikkis’.Dhurandhar Movie Review While the film did witness a drop in collections, it simultaneously achieved a major milestone by emerging as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, surpassing the Rs 735 crore nett-plus record previously held by ‘Pushpa 2’. This drop was very much expected as the holiday period ended and from January 5 onwards, one saw a major downward curve for the film as it recorded its lowest ever per day number on 5th Monday and Tuesday. So far, it had managed to generate double digit numbers all through and then there was this sudden drop. It collected Rs 106.5 crore by the end of its fourth week, the film began fifth Friday on a grand note and collected Rs 8.75 crore. On fifth Saturday which is day 30, it made Rs 11.75 crore. And now on Sunday, day 31, the film has made Rs 12.75 crore. On Monday, day 32, the film made Rs 4.75 which is its lowest single day number ever since it released and now the film may begin to slow down more as of course, most people across the country and worldwide may have seen it already. On Tuesday, it has made Rs 4.75 crore. Now on day 34, the film may be expected to see a further drop. It has made Rs 39 lakhs till afternoon. The total net collection of the film in India is now Rs 782.14 crore. The worldwide gross collection of the film is Rs 1,247 crore so far. Meanwhile, ‘Ikkis’ and ‘Tu Meri Main Tera’ are far behind. Though, ‘Ikkis’ did show potential through positive word of mouth. Dharmendra’s last film also starring Agastya Nanda, Simar Bhatia, Jaideep Ahlawat has made Rs 9 lakhs so far on its day 7 which is Wednesday. The total net collection in India is Rs 23.09 crore. ‘Tu Meri Main Tera’ now seems to have ended its theatrical run by completely losing steam. It has made Rs 3 lakh on day 14 which is Wednesday. The total number is now Rs 32.53 crore.
