'Dhurandhar': Aditya Dhar reveals Sara Arjun was chosen from 1300 auditions; calls her 'best of all'

In an impressive display of dedication, Director Aditya Dhar shared insights about the rigorous audition journey for ‘Dhurandhar’. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra orchestrated an astonishing 1300 auditions for the pivotal role played by Sara Arjun. Dhar lauded Chhabra’s efforts, which culminated in a sensational cast featuring luminaries like Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal.

At the official trailer launch, director Aditya Dhar shed light on the extensive casting process behind the much-talked-about film, ‘Dhurandhar’. Aditya Dhar revealed, “Mukesh had done almost 1300 auditions, and Sara Arjun was the one who got selected; she was just brilliant, the best of all.” The detail surprised many fans, who have already been praising Arjun’s refreshing screen presence in the trailer.Dhar went on to acknowledge the film’s casting director, Mukesh Chhabra, for shaping the entire lineup of actors. Appreciating his contribution, the filmmaker said, “Whatever casting you are seeing in this film is because of Mukesh Chhabra,” adding that “he put all his efforts in this; without him, ‘Dhurandhar’ wouldn’t be possible.”This sentiment has further fueled interest in the film’s ensemble, which many have called one of the strongest casts of recent years.
