Dhurandhar 2 crashes OTT servers in Pakistan? Viral video claims

Dhurandhar: The Revenge crashes OTT servers in Pakistan? Viral video claims fans stayed up till midnight for Ranveer Singh starrer

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar, has turned into a massive global phenomenon ever since its theatrical release on March 19. The action drama reportedly earned over Rs 1,800 crore worldwide, becoming the second-highest-grossing Indian film ever. While Indian audiences are still waiting for the film’s OTT debut on June 4, the movie has already premiered in Pakistan — and if viral claims are to be believed, the craze around the film allegedly became so intense that Netflix servers crashed within minutes of release.

Viral video claims OTT crashed after Dhurandhar 2 release in Pakistan

Pakistani content creator Maviya Umer Farooqui, who runs the Instagram page @kaam_wali_baat, shared a video claiming that the OTT servers went down shortly after the film dropped in Pakistan at midnight. In the viral clip, he said, “Pakistan mein aaj hi Dhurandhar release hui hai aur server crash ho gaya. Pakistanis wait hi kar rahe the ki kab raat ke 12 baje Netflix film daalein aur sab ek saath milke click karein. Iss tarah Dhurandhar ka shauk dekha gaya hai idhar.”He further added that despite criticism around the film allegedly being propaganda, many people in Pakistan were still curious to watch it and judge it for themselves. “Ab sach ya jhooth kuch bhi dikhaya gaya ho, woh alag baat hai, lekin Pakistanis yeh dekhna chahte hain ki film bani kaise hai. Ranveer Singh ka character kaisa hai, yeh toh sabko pata hai. Lyari mein sach mein aisa hua tha ya nahi, woh baad ki baat hai.”The content creator essentially claimed that Pakistanis had eagerly waited till midnight for the OTT platform to release the film and rushed to watch it together. He also said that regardless of whether the film showed the “truth” or not, audiences in Pakistan were curious to see how the movie was made, how Ranveer Singh portrayed the character, and whether the incidents shown in Lyari actually happened.
